What do you guys think of a breakfast like this?

4 eggs OM cooked in coconut oil w/salt and pepper. 1 banana. 1 glass of apple juice (not from concentrate). 1 glass of water.

Is it healthy to eat this for breakfast frequently?

Simple, cheap, and fast. I think I have way more energy doing this compared to when I ate a bowl or two of Kashi Go Lean cereal with Organic Whole Milk + banana and juice.

Apple juice has very little nutrients relative to the sugar load. If you're gonna drink juice, you'd be better off with orange or tomato juice.

Another vote for skip the apple juice. Have an apple if you want, but juice is only marginally better than soda.

would also recommend to avoid the apple juice (most apple juice has added sugar, plus you dont get the fiber along with it). eat the fruit, don't drink it :)

Why skip the apple juice? It's basically an 8oz glass of water with 6 teaspoons of sugar in it.

If you place whole fruit in a blender and blend it then it would be ok. However placing it in a juicer makes it sugar water.

I guess you could say "for the same reason people drink what they like" - because they enjoy it (or because they think it's good for them).

Even if its organic and there are no "added sugars," juice is still basically sugar water.. Yes there is some nutritional value but for the amount of calories, lack of fiber, spike in blood sugar, and zero effect on satiety, why drink it?

Legit juice is! :-) Make your own, or get organic/not from concentrate, and make sure there aren't added sugars.

Looks good to me. When I make fried eggs I use coconut oil and when I make scrambled I use butter. When I do drink apple juice I juice it myself and then filter it. I do the same with orange juice with the filtering thing. Juice at least in Germany is mostly direct pressed. Some of it has pulp some of it doesn't depending on how it was juiced so if I buy juice from the store I'll usually run it through a filter to get the cellulose out. I use a really fine strainer or cheese cloth for the filtering. Rotate your whole fruits. I also usually have a cup of coffee with a 1/4 teaspoon of eggshell powder, cream, and sugar.

But yeah looks good to me, I eat that for breakfast pretty regularly, I usually have milk and a bit of white cheese (like a 1-1.5 inch cube) as well. Even aged cheddar over here is white.

As far as I'm concerned fruit is fine. I'm pretty sure being a primate that we were eating plenty of fruit and leaves before animal products. I like figs as well, but those can be expensive, they are about 1.50 euro per fig over here! Ripened apricots are good for breakfast too.

I would skip the juice. If you still want the carbs, particularly fruit, then eat another banana or a whole apple. Seriously, ditch the fruit juice.

Or just eat 2 slices of bacon...

Ditch the banana and apple juice, carbs would be up to 60 grams in one meal.

Put onions and filling veggies in the ommlette.

Just be careful with juice and fruit. That would be your total fruit servings for one day. 2 servings per day is what is good guidline. I agree with everyone on the juice though. You're better off just eating the apple.

I'm pretty tuned into the juice thing because I'm a mom of little ones. Here's the scoop on juice (backed up by savvy pediatricians): juice is just soda without carbonation. Obviously, that's an exaggeration, but it's not without merit. Juice is a sugary treat.
