Ok I've seen 70% dark chocolate in some places and even 85%. I know 100% dark chocolate is out there somewhere. Can anyone tell me where I could buy it? By the way I live in the UK.

Yup - my grocer's baking section has at least two brands of completely unsweetened chocolate, situated just above the bags of chocolate chips. Baker's (an American brand) has an ingredient list that reads: CHOCOLATE. Doesn't get simpler than that!

Agreed. I love the 85% but the 100% is tough for me as well. It's no longer a treat. And the Ghiradelli can be found in the baking isle of most supermarkets.

http://www.ghirardelli.com/products/bars_unsweetened.aspx to order from this website.

Or check the baking aisle in your local market. If you are planning on eating it, just buy one bar until you know if you can handle the bitterness. I eat 90% Lindt which is wonderful, but trying to eat a square of 100% is pretty tough for me.

Waitrose sell 100% cacao - it is really really good. I don't know if you saw the TV show, but it's by that Willie guy...

Also, I don't know where you are in the UK, but the Fresh and Wild I go to in Soho sells 100% cacao as well. I imagine a lot of independent health food shops would sell it also (not talking about Holland & Barrett!).

Hope that helps!

Hotel Chocolat. You can order in store or online. They have different types from different plantations

If you're looking to buy it to eat straight, I'd just like to say that it's very, very, very bitter. But goes well in chilli :-)

Depending on where you live in the UK, there may be an independent chocolatier who sells 100% as well.

But Hotel Chocolat are the most accessible in the UK in general.

I'm not sure where you can buy it, but Ghirardelli makes a 100% baking chocolate that is smoother and less bitter than lower priced brands.

Hersheys Coco powder is 100% coco and very inexpensive. 100% does not taste real great by itself, but you can put it in a lot of things. In fact I put about 1/2 - 1 teaspoon in my morning coffee which I drink just black. Adds a nice flavor of choco to it without the junk...

yes, cocoa liquor is 100% cacao. It is also called cocoa paste or cocoa mass, and even unsweetened or baker's chocolate. Since regular chocolate (no matter what percentage) has added cocoa butter to make it smoother, cocoa liquor will be a bit harder than regular chocolate. You can get it at:

http://www.cocoasupply.com/product/bergenfield-cocoa-natural-cocoa-liquorcocoa-mass

You can add some butter to make it softer or met it a bit. The chocolate bars that srate i.e.75% cocoa, refer to the cocoa content (the liquor, which is about 52% butter + the added butter). But if it is for health, the cocoa solids (dark part of the liquor) is what has all the healthy polyphenols. Hope this info helps. Cheers.

Yes, cocoa liquor also called cocoa paste or cocoa mass is 100% cocoa. But since they usually add a bit more of cocoa butter to regular chocolate to make it smoother, cocoa liquor is a little harder than chocolate. You can buy it at CocoaSupply.com, they have all the 100% cocoas too. Hope this helps.

My favorite is the Lindt 99%. Ingredients are: Chocolate, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, and sugar. The nutritional information says the whole bar has 13g of carbs, 0 of which are from sugar somehow.

I find the ghiradelli 100% pretty gross actually. I definitely recommend getting the Lindt 99%!

Or you get raw choclate. in the UK is a big rawfood movement. You shouldnt heat its. But its a special experience. They discuss if choclate is good or not.

In small amount in wise way its healthy and good.
