I see much more people in old posts, so much that it seems time won't allow the questions of now to reach so many answers no matter how much time passes. What has happened in this site to cause so many users to stop using it ?

The site is probably just using universal time internally, and since all the post times are relative (i.e., "24 min ago"), conversions to individual time zones are unnecessary.
