since eating according to the paleo diet allows you to absorb nutrients much more efficiently are you able to eat less than you normally would and stay healthy?

Eat until you're full. If that means eating 6 eggs and 6 pieces of bacon, go for it. Don't be afraid to change up your protein either. Eggs and chopped steak is also delicious (and lower in sodium & preservatives than bacon).

I seem to be going through them really quickly; the beef cooked in butter is divine. But the packages are a bit pricey and I'm wondering if I'm being a bit overindulgent. How many meals can you stretch out of 1 lb of beef?

4 times a week isn't giving your body adequate time to recover for muscle growth. I don't think cross fit is that great for gaining a ton of muscle. It seems more structured for endurance of what I have tried of it. You might want to check out... (more)

Don't sweat it. The cortisol response of worrying about this is probably doing more damage than the extra calories :) 2500 calories doesn't sound unreasonably high. You probably have days where you eat <2000 as well. Unless you find yourself... (more)
