Oh my! I look back on some of things I used to eat as a child/teenager and I am dumbfounded. I cannot believe it. We grew up in the 80's on sugary cereals and low-fat ultra-pasteurized homogenized 'milk'. We used to eat bowl after bowl. I ate a... (more)

This must be what it feels like to go to confession. (I'm Jewish; I've missed out.) Bless me, paleohackers, for I have sinned: In the late 1970s, whenever I'd visit my grandparents in the Catskills, Grandma would let me eat table sugar with a... (more)

I had horrible sleep habits. I had a horrible lifestyle, that encouraged my horrible sleep habits, and made me think they were beyond the realm of my control. I would NOT be able to sleep, for 24 hours to 5 days, and then I would grab 3-5 hours... (more)

I know, I know... but it's a pre-paleo craving that just won't quit. Starbucks has an evil hold on my Autumn. Does anyone have a paleofied version that is actually palatable. I don't need something sweet, just creamy, caffeinated and pumpkiny. I... (more)

A friend posted the link below when I was posting how excited I was that they were back. It's not paleo, but perhaps with some tweaks (stevia instead of sugar, throw some heavy cream in there instead of making it milk-based, etc) you might have... (more)

I originally misread this question as "Have you ever given Paleo a bad name? What is the rudest thing you have ever said about the area of Paleo." I assume I can't be the only one who was originally resistant to the idea of Paleo and talked some... (more)

I remember when I first tried lowcarb, I figured it didn't sound super healthy but then again, neither was being fat. The thing is, my version of low carb was pretty healthy. I had to nix milk cuz of the lactose sugars. And I didn't want to pay... (more)

It seems to me like many people here have previously "dieted" and followed other diets and tried many things to lose weight/control cravings/get fit/improve health. I'm curious how many of you never gave a second thought to... (more)

I started eating a very strict Paleo diet for one month. Little fruit, no dairy, just mostly meat and veggies. Cooking with Kerrygold butter or coconut oil only. I really like eating this way and I plan on eating Paleo for a very long time. The... (more)
