For me - I fell in love with Sous Vide cooking when I discovered it. So ideal in so many ways. Seems like there have to be a ton of awesome paleo/primal products out there that haven't been made yet. What would improve your paleo experience?
Does anyone here eat only animal products? Now & then i like veggies & some fruit as they are refreshing, especially raw, but i still keep going off them & just want to eat animal products I used to eat fish/veggies & not much... (more)
Hi all After a few years of working under fluorescent lights and in circulated air at an office job I've decided I want to start my own business. My inspiration is despite peoples best efforts to eat a healthy diet, if things are not convenient... (more)
Bone Broths To Go! I struggle to find time to make bone broth regularly. You could make different varieties, with a FODMAP-free version for those of us sensitive to onions & garlic.
My favorite show on TV right now is called My Strange Addiction. Screwed up people on the show eat all manners of stuff that nobody should eat like: nail polish, deodorant and plastic cocktail swords. One would think that eating a stick of... (more)
I am sort of a product junkie when it comes to beauty and makeup. I love makeup, perfume, and all of that good stuff. I've heard that harmful chemicals from all of these things can absorb through your skin? How serious should i be about this, can... (more)
Hi there, As usual, I have been busier than the proverbial one-legged man at an ass-kicking contest -- but here is your one chance at self-promotion if you are doing a Paleo or Paleo-related business. Let me know about your product or service,... (more)
As paleo becomes more mainstream, we see more people trying to monetize it. Previously it was mainly authors and speakers, then bloggers, and more recently branded "paleo" products. Looks like even the veteran paleo luminary Mark Sisson is pushing... (more)
Hi PaleoHackers -- I am putting together something sort of fun around Paleo products for fitness and for the kitchen. This could be things like Vibrams or cookware or foods. Would love your input.
Endotoxins (aka lipopolysaccharides) are part of the membrane of gram negative bacteria and they have some toxic effects in the body. I've been hearing a new pro-vegan argument that animal products tend to have more endotoxins than plants and this... (more)
As I was taking a shower this morning, I casually decided to read the ingredient label on the generic hair conditioner I use daily. In addition to the laundry list of complex molecules the likes of which send shivers down the spines of even the... (more)
I've used nothing on my skin or hair except water (other than hand washing) for the last year. In combination with a paleo diet, this seems to work fine for me. No problems with being dirty, greasy, or stinky.
Just got done with this book and feel like I wasted my money. I was floored by the continual demonization of saturated fats, coupled with what seemed like an embrace of PUFA along with recomendations promoting the use of canola oil and various... (more)

The Northwest isn't exactly beef-land. Stick with the best seafood on earth. I like Olympia Seafood in Olympia for fresh Dungeness crab, but Pike Place is good if I'm in Seattle.

On a lighter note: A coworker of mine stopped me yesterday to tell me she was starting to diet, and was hoping to get some tips from me. Flattering, I thought. So I'd told her the basic tenets of Paleo, and left it at that. She said, "Oh, I... (more)
Try Larabars. For example, the Banana Bread bar only has almonds, dates, and unsweetened bananas. The Larabar package claims it is gluten free, dairy free, soy free, non-gmo, vegan, and kosher.
Since most of us buy/need the same supplements, organic products, etc. I wonder what it would be like to start a Paleo buyers club that could bargain for discounted prices on some of these things. I mean we do seem to recommend the best products... (more)
