Why not move to pork, which is vastly more water-effective, and offers lard and edible skin (gelatin)?

You're probably right about keeping your protein to 170g or less.  If it were me, I would monitor blood ketones to find your protein tolerance level.  Start at 170g and work your way up until you're out of ketosis, or work your way down... (more)

Suggested protein for active grown-up man and lady expend 56 g and 46 g of protein for every day, individually. For physically dynamic grown-ups may require extra protein for vitality, building muscle and keeping up lean bulk.

What percentage of your daily intake is fat, would you say? I stick around 80% fat, while staying around 10g carbs every day. I'm rarely hungry, and tend to eat only once per day (around 5-6PM). Works for me.
