If you shop at Costco then I want to know what your staples are... the foods you buy on a regular basis.

I'm a big fan of the following...

  1. Kerrygold butter
  2. Kerrygold cheese
  3. Organic Spinach
  4. Organic Spring Mix
  5. Kalamata Olives
  6. Dark Chocolate Chips
  7. Avocados

It's Ghiradelli brand... they are at the low end of cacao... probably about 60%. I did not see that question... oops! – Primal Toad Feb 25 2012 at 15:54

I don't rely on Costco for staples anymore. Every time I did, that particular item happened to disappear, never to return. I am being completely serious.

There's a marinara sauce (jarred) that has no additives, no sugar added - just tomatoes, olive oil, etc. Paesano is the brand, I think. SUPER tasty.

Canned salmon, sardines, olive oil.

There was an article recently about how most olive oil sold as extra virgin actually doesn't qualify for that label. The organic Costco brand was one of the few major brands that did. I can attest that it's far better than the Whole Foods brand, which tastes and smells like nothing.

apparently there's a huge scam on olive oil. Lots of brands are using soybean oil and/or other nasty oils and labeling it extra virgin olive oil. – Jack Kronk Feb 25 2012 at 17:59

I can't remember the brands, but we get that spinach and spring mix as well. Always get a couple big jars of salsa, the big 24 pack of hard boiled eggs to keep in the gym fridge, some pre-cooked shredded chicken, the big pack of wholly guacamole. The salsa, guac and chicken stay in the gym fridge for a quick meal. Dump it in a bowl, eat up, get back to work trying to re-program our clients to eat paleo.
