Just saw this article- http://www.japanesefoodreport.com/2008/10/roasted-tuna-collar.html

Sounds (and looks) awesome! Has anyone had any success procuring/cooking/eating some? How difficult was it?

I have procured, cooked and eated halibut collar - and it was awesome - it's a touch oilier than the rest of the fish - and it's super! I have made soup, pan fried as well as deep fried the collar (pieces). I would recommend it - and it's a fairly cheap cut if you get if from your fish monger (he would sometimes give it to me for free!)

I've had it many times. I enjoy it grilled, dressed lightly with soy sauce and lemon...most delicious!
