I have been feeling ravenous the last couple days eating way way over my maintenance calories( all paleo foods) ... What effects does this have on weight loss?

How can I get my hormones lined back up and regulate my normal hunger levels?

I feel like I've undone all my hard work... I don't know why?

If we could finally, for once and for all, figure out the causes of unreasonable, excess hunger, we could retire as very wealthy people, Paleo4ever. I think it's an almost-infinitely multi-factoral paradigm that is nearly impossible to nail down.

Stress, hormones, the season, the food in your house..... I think we could go on and on for a long time listing the possible culprits.

I think it's gonna hurt your weight loss efforts.

This is definitely an area in which we differ from person to person and a person differs from day to day.

As a non-professional, all I dare say is that if you do it only once in a while it might actually help your weight loss. Some people including me find it's good to vary the routine from time to time--seems to josh the body into giving up a little more stored fat. But only if it's very short term--for me, that's one or two days max. And I also practice fasting on a regular basis so it works both ways.

I won't offer a guess on the hormones; I'll leave that for others.

Too many calories = weight gain. Doesnt matter if they are paleo or not. Couple of days wont matter in the whole scheme of things.
