I know a lot of people would typically be using eggs, and the rest are probably not eating breakfast until lunchtime, but what is your most surefire morning hunger suppressant if for example you weren't going to be able to eat again until evening? Is there a new 'conventional' breakfast or does ditching the cereal and toast mean everything is fair game?
3 eggs, 3-4 strips of bacon, half of an avocado.
This is the usual stand by for me if I am making breakfast.
If by chance I am trying intermittent fasting, and not eating until noon, then it is some black coffee with cinnamon in it.
I have fat for breakfast--excess body fat that I've released and am now burning. I skip the hassle of fixing/eating food as part of my morning routine.
I break my fast somewhere between 10 am and the next morning in a random and natural pattern of intermittent fasting. I never schedule food; if I'm hungry I eat but if I'm busy or not hungry I don't.
It's common for me to have bone broth stew or other meat leftovers if I don't start the day with yogurt and fruit. Yesterday I had bacon and eggs at mid-day and didn't eat again. I'm a little hungry this morning but I see no need to do anything about it.
My favorite part of this lifestyle is the reduced importance food now carries.
EDIT: Re-reading your question, I'm not sure my answer was a direct hit so I'll add that, if I believe it's important to eat in the morning for some reason I go for one of my 2 favorites: home-made yogurt with fruit or a slow-fried chunk of fatty beef. With the yogurt I'll feel empty again in a few hours, not that that's a problem, but with the beef I'm easily good 'til the next day.
Most effective for me has to be a pound of baked salmon fillet, maybe a plantain or some veg on the side. A full cooked breakfast with sausage, eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms (what the hell, black pudding as well) is pretty good, but that salmon leaves me feeling comfortably full all day, more so than steak I think.
I always have a homemade americano with raw honey (I know getting hot defeats the purpose:), coconut oil, and a dash of organic half and half. I am tempted to call this a meal since it has fat in it and I am not hungry for many hours after this. I really do think it would be better to have a real breakfast, but I can't stomach it. I have read that not being hungry in the morning is a sign of health issues -so maybe once I fix all my health issues -then I can chow down on some eggs and meat!
Try a smoothie for breakfest.
