This talk reminds me of a relevatory moment in high school: that "diet" originally meant "how you eat", not "eating a certain way to lose weight, etc." I agree with her that a lot of diet stuff is a bit fishy. Personally I prefer to think of Paleo as a lifestyle, which, yes, includes how I eat.

I also liked the reminder that, by comparison, paleo is easy to stick with. It's personal. It's simple. It has good support. etc. So plus one for that.

Other than common-sense remarks about how word-labels are perceived, Stephanie's presentation seemed targeted toward the newer end of our population. Again the main points were flexibility and personalizing your food mix to your needs and vulnerabilities.

I thought it was fine although not powerful for me personally.

I don't care what you call it - lifestyle/ diet/ eating plan - even call it a fad if you like. It's how I eat and that won't change depending on vocabulary!

Perhaps useful to people new to Paleo who assume it's a fad diet, but I didn't learn anything from this talk.
