I'm hosting a chocolate party tomorrow, and decided to make my dishes 99% paleo to wow the guests. But I've only got 4 hours of free time to get the ingredients and make the dishes. I'm thinking of making two dishes. Any suggestions? Here's what I've thought of so far:
-Chocolate truffles with coconut oil and ground macademia (made before, turns out pretty good)
-Chocolate cinnamon coconut milk (I just made this up)
-Some kind of flourless chocolate cake (probably takes too long?)
-Some kind of chocolate pudding with coconut milk
-Some kind of chocolate/avocado dish
It took a couple times before the chocolate truffles came out good. So if you have already made something yummy that is chocolate and paleo, then it would be pre-screened. Do tell.
What about the standard avocado-chocolate pudding recipe? I've seen variations with and without banana. Also found a chocolate-avocado pie recipe that looks interesting. You could most likely sub any nuts for the pecan-based crust and use real dark chocolate instead of vegan chocolate chips. http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=6811.0

I've been making Girl Gone Primal's Choc-Avocado Mousse for the last couple months but I add more cinnamon and lots of shredded coconut. I don't really measure so I might be putting in more cocoa powder, too. I have added honey but it's not necessary and, some might say, not paleo.
Not orthodox paleo, but I made a very simple molten lava cake for company last week, and it was amazing (and impressive)! I found the recipe on the Healthy Indulgences blog:
I tweaked the recipe a little, cutting out the erythritol and and using coconut flour (since coconut flour is so much more absorbent than other flours, I cut the 4 tsp called for in half). Definitely err on the side of undercooking this one. 10 minutes was plenty in my oven. Any longer, and you lose the "lava" inside.
I used Lindt 85% and and topped the warm cake with raspberries before serving.
My husband keeps asking when I'm going to make it again. :)
