What illness did Chris Kresser have? Did he ever say exactly what this illness was? Anybody here know?

The details of the illness are here: "In my early 20s I set out to see the world. A few months into that trip, while traveling in Indonesia, I contracted a mysterious tropical illness. I recovered relatively quickly from the acute phase, but as I continued to travel it became painfully clear that the illness had morphed into a chronic condition. .....It became increasingly clear over time that if anyone was going to figure it out, it would have to be me........."

It was idiopathic. He never figgered out. But the illness supposedly sent him on a quest to solve chronic and degenerative illnesses through alternative and integrative medicine. Thus was born a "healthy skeptic," a forensic health detective. – Namby Pamby Mar 21 2012 at 7:42
