What conditions or aliments have come or gone since you went Paleo? Has your body really changed for the better? Have some conditions gotten worse or have some appeared out of nowhere? Your experiences?
When I started Paleo I removed certain foods from my diet like foods that contain simple sugar, some starches and wheat(gluten). My skin rashes and dandruff disappeared in a few weeks. I lost additional 5 pounds of fat. The little bit a brain fog that I had also went away. Then I removed all dairy. Soon after that, my libido started to go down hill and fatigue started to settle in early in the afternoon. I was cranky, restless and a little depressed. Adding vitamin D to my diet helped with the blues, but I started to have lower back pain like never before. One day a friend invited me over to try some bone broth that he was making in large quantities. I took some jars home for a trial run. It was my friend's advice to have a pint before bed. The next morning I felt incredible. I hadn't slept so well in months and my libido started to have a pulse. My back pain had greatly decreased. With a week of drinking the broth my hair started to shine and my skin looked better then before. My bowel movements returned to normal and I had morning energy without any coffee, truly amazing. There is one more interesting note about my story. My local cafe started carrying Mexican Cokes made with real cane sugar. I had not had a coke in 5 months till that point. I broke down and had a one instead of coffee. Within an hour I had a rush, but the rush came as a jolt to my libido, if you know what I mean. Somehow the sugar mixed with caffeine ignited by sex drive to another stratosphere. In some way, sugar might be needed to run our sex drive. Your thoughts on this and other foods,including bone broth that might have aided or hindered certain conditions in your Paleo life style.
