Why do I feel nauseated after eating sushi sometimes? Seems to happen more when I eat more sashimi. Is there something about raw fish that bothers the gut?

Are you having JUST the fish, or are you also having wasabi/soy/other sauce? Is it only with certain kinds or is it random? Need more info! |

Or you could just have a food intolerance. I can't eat avacado, often found in rolls |

Sashimi makes my gut very happy. Maybe you have a reaction to the soy sauce? Or wasabi? Do you eat the pickled ginger? It is good for your digestion. |

-Sushi Grade Fish is a must -Do you always go to the same place? I have noticed that some of the cheaper places, like all you can eat or stripmall joints, use non-sushi grade fish, which is probably farm fed (full of nastiness and lack of selenium). Sushi is expensive for a reason (because sushi grade fish is expensive), maybe try frequenting a high class joint or checking with a chef you like. -Also they may be using a contaminated cutting board (that has wheat bits from the tempura, or other bits of gross. -Bring your own "soy" sauce. I bring in my own bottle of coconut secret -aminos and hand it over to the chef to cook with. |

Could it be the nori? I can't stomach that stuff AT ALL. It's seriously bad business for me, up there with wheat, raw onions and agave, which are the worst. |
