what is too soft? I mean, why do you think it is supposed to be harder? – ben61820 Mar 24 2012 at 12:59
How about you let us know what you're eating. What does a typical weekday/weekend look like for you diet-wise? – gilliebean Mar 24 2012 at 13:32
Sounds like Mudbutt. For me, too many nuts or cheese/cream tends to push me into the mudbutt realm. – Joshua Mar 24 2012 at 14:15
This is disgusting. I realize that this is not an uncommon topic on Paleohacks, but phrasing it a bit more delicately, like many do, would be appreciated, so I don't blanch every time I go to the Paleohacks homepage! – Celine Mar 24 2012 at 14:55

Might you have a food sensitivity to one of the things you have been eating all this time? I always figure that soft poop is a result of your body going "ew let's move this stuff on and out". Perhaps you should try a challenge diet using paleo principles by eliminating one potential food type a week or two at a time to see how it affects your GI process.

Are you eating a lot of bananas? This is often the culprit in my case (although I go on eating them anyway because, come on, bananas freaking rock).

Are you eating excess fat? I tend to binge on ghee and this will happen to me. I hear people saying that we don't binge on fats, but I do. I go through a jar of ghee in 2 days and am gaining weight. I am already slightly overweight (5'5" 137). Why is my body craving so much excess fat?

I think paleo generally has the effect on people. Folks go from brick-like turds to normal, or from the runs to normal.
