Hi folks! I'm paleo livin in Germany, so beforehand I have to excuse my bad English... I'm tending to use a multivit just to restore my blood levels, kind of a cure for about 3 months or so and then keeping the levels by eating paleo only.

So, I'm asking you to hack this one: http://www.jigsawhealth.com/resources/Jigsaw-Complete-Supplement-Facts

Many thanks!

There's 3,5g PUFA in that stuff... That's all the PUFA I eat in a day... – Korion Apr 22 2012 at 12:42

Considering he's isn't eating Peat's diet, 3.5g isn't much, esp. if he has n-3/n-6 imbalance. My calc shows that up to 15g is ok at 2500 calories ==> under 5% of total calories. – Namby Pamby Apr 22 2012 at 18:13
If the 3.5 is from the fish oil, that doesn't seem bad to me. What am I missing? – CaveMan_Mike Jun 17 at 21:36

I think it's a better plan to log your vitamin levels in food, then add vitamins appropriately to your diet. At least, this has been what's worked well for me.

In that vein, I supplement with magnesium, k2, b6, zinc, and bi-weekly cod liver oil (for vitamin A and D).

It looks like a good multi-vitamin, but their amounts of the various vitamins are way too high. If I were you, I'd only get 1 pill instead of the suggested 3 (I assume it's 3 per day), and not every day either. You don't want too much of anything.

yeah, I thought to get only half the dose to not overdo it and to pause two days a week – Anne Mar 24 2012 at 16:10

I personally spent over $500 for supplements so far, because I want to control what I'm getting exactly. I stopped taking my multivitamin because it had big dosages in some vitamins I already didn't need to take, and very little on some I needed to, or it had them in "forms" that were problematic or not absorbable. I take D3, K2 and Mg as the most important ones, but then I also added Q10-ubiquinol, PQQ, C+Bioflavonoids (when I don't eat fruit), grapeseeed/pomegranate/transveratrol extract, L-carnitine when in ketosis, Calcium and biotin when not eating enough dairy etc. Email me for a list. – Eugenia Mar 25 2012 at 18:51
