Hello
I am moving to a new appartment, and have to redo my living arrangement. I would like some input how one might improve the furniture to accomodate better posture.
Specifically I read quite a lot. Mostly I read lying in bed with an extra pillow to prop up the head. I am not sure this is very good for the posture, also it is not very comfortable. I have been trying to figure out how to get a better solution for a comfortable reading position which does lead to slumping etc.
I have been experimenting with sitting cross legged for a period of time, though my inflexibility in the hips really hasn't allowed full transition to a more on the floor living arrangement.
I have also been trying a standing desk, which works to some extent, but I do not find it comfortable for reading.
Of course, I have also tried a stability ball, which probably is better than a standard chair, but again does not quite cut it.
Along these lines I did come across this webpage: http://www.zafu.net/articles.html
I am familiar with Esther Gokhale, and her approach which is highly recommended. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Steps-Pain-Free-Back-Solutions-Shoulder/dp/0979303605/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332678750&sr=8-1
Any suggestions?
