I am at 270. She is at 120.
I need this primarily for weight loss. Been doing crossfit for a year, getting very strong, but not losing fat anymore. My performance, cardio wise, suffers, obviously.
Should I basically be taking my portion, and cutting the portion in half when I serve up her plate?
Is that a good rule of thumb?
You should both eat to satiety. I also wouldn't say that you need exactly twice her calories, assuming that's your thinking.
I am 135 and my husband is 250. I usually eat twice what he eats so that isn't necessarily applicable in every situation. I can't explain why it is the way it is (better metabolism, bigger stomach capacity, he had secret gastric bypass?) but it just works out that way.
