Jack Kruse: Complex thinker. May be writing over your head, to the side of your head, or on an iphone while on a surfboard. Doesn't pull punches.

Kurt Harris: One of the original paleo bloggers and an influence to many, Kurt's specialties are synthesis and calling out things he sees as pseudoscience.

Stabby Raccoon: Not a blogger per se, but comments frequently and intelligently. Apparently knows a lot about how to cure a hangover.

Kamal Patel: Also not a blogger per se, but occasionally will cause your gut to bust. Writes about pain issues.

Richard Nikoley: One of the original paleo bloggers. Known for his strong opinions on religion, self-experimentation, and everything.

Emily Deans: Doesn't seem to prioritize jokes, but is subtly funny. Plus I like her because I'm in the psychology field :)

Denise Minger: Tears apart studies, bridges the gap between veg*ns and paleos. Always speaks the truth, always sweet and funny.
Representative posts: "The China Study: fact or fallacy" and "Forks over Knives: Is the science legit?"

I know there are a lot of bloggers I left off. I didn't include any recipes bloggers, who can be pretty funny, nor did I list Sisson or Wolf, even though they can be entertaining. Who do you think is the cream of the crop, entertainment-wise?

It's Melissa by a longshot. I've laughed out loud reading her posts and comments, which rarely happens for me. Except for when I saw this epic comment by Emily Deans on Richard's recent post. No particular disrespect to Kruse or Richard, but oogie boogie this is good....

(Context: Emily Deans had been saying that Kruse's MRSA experiment was dangerous, and Richard was basically saying that it wasn't so dangerous to others if Kruse took precautions, and Kruse was mostly impacting just himself)

I love them all (except for that Stabby rascal. Such a charlatan.)

Melissa's blog is a blast to read. Informative, well-presented, and I like when she gets feisty!

Jack Kruse isn't always easy to understand and I don't always agree, but when I just read to see what I can garner from the massive hurricane of concepts I always leave with a smile.

Kurt Harris just don't care! And that's a good thing.

Kamal is hilarious to the funny bone.

Same with Nikoley. Can be a bit crude but I like it when he bashes people that I don't like. Same goes for Anthony Colpo for that matter.

Emily is just an all-around solid writer. Good facts, good humor, and pretty much the most calming voice ever. So I read it in my head as her voice. Creepy? You decide!

Another is Chris Masterjohn. He always has incredible articles that entertain me because I'm somehow entertained by the subject matter. But he also has a funny way of anthropomorphizing biochemicals, as seen here http://www.westonaprice.org/blogs/cmasterjohn/2012/04/07/glutathione-101-part-1-cysteine-misbehaves-but-glutathione-saves/ and elsewhere.

So to answer your question, I can't answer your question.

I have leptin fatigue, so I haven't read Jack's blog in a month or so. I like the others listed and enjoy their posts/comments very much.

On Twitter, I have to say I've enjoyed many giggles from reading conversations between Robb Wolf and his followers as well as between That Paleo Guy and Emily, Melissa and others.

She wasn't nominated, but I get a lot of entertainment--and some clarification of science--from Evelyn's Carb Sane Asylum. I've had to read many paragraphs more than once because I just couldn't believe what I thought I'd read.

Is Denise Minger counted as "in the Paleosphere"? I love the way she writes - it's funny, smart and cuts right down to the point. I loved her takedown of the meat study and the China Study.

I find Melissa has the most entertaining blog. She's insightful, fun-to-read, educated, open-minded, and has a young lay person's approach. I don't read it religiously but anytime I do I am impressed.

My top votes are Robb Wolf and Kurt Harris. They do a great job of interpreting scientific literature and distilling it to what it really means. Most of the other bloggers just quote research without (good) independent analysis. Jack Kruse has some good ideas (and some crazy ones), but he's not a good writer and doesn't do a good job of instilling confidence. Sometimes people have this feeling that if it was hard to read then it's complicated hard stuff and the writer must really know his stuff. But in reality, if you go away from something, saying "boy that was simple, of course that's the right conclusion" then you know the writer did the (very hard) job of distilling and synthesizing the information. It's hard to do, I can do it for chemistry, but I cannot do it for evolutionary biology, so don't judge me by my writing on here :)

Mellisa at the huntgatherlove blog is by far the most interesting/entertaining/honest/to the point/logical outlook/insert almost any awesome interpretation blog out there.

I also really love Michelle's humor at nomnompaleo and between the pictures she posts of her meals and her beautiful foul mouth she's by far the best food blogger out there.

As far as informative. Meh, everyone else kinda lumps together and has good postings regularly. But the first two are my go to sites first and foremost, almost daily.

Alright, I'm late to the party, and my answer is a little anecdote ~ the other day I had someone in my real life start a conversation in reaction to a comment I made to Kamal about his body fat percentages post...I then sent her Melissa's post about women needing fat...Kamal is such a polite and witty guy though that I feel like the vote needs to go to him!

Pray tell, who is the most entertaining writer in the paleosphere?
