Is there such a thing as eating too many vegetables? I load my plate with vegetables (and a serving of protein/fat) at every meal in hopes of feeling "full". I find that growing up on pasta and bread makes it difficult for me to control that "I'm still hungry" feeling when I don't eat grains (I realize this is because of a craving and not necessarily hunger). However, I find that sometimes my body isn't even processing the vegetables; they are just passing through whole. Is this a sign that I am eating so many that my body doesn't need the nutrients?
Just curious what others have experienced. I hate to cut down on the veggies, because I'll end up indulging in something unhealthy that will make me feel terrible. Right now Peanut Butter is my only vice (don't judge me! I'm deployed with limited assets!).
Of note, I go after every meal, if not more often.
I'm not looking for advice on how to refine my diet (especially since I have not given much of a breakdown of what my diet looks lik), simply looking for anyone who has information on what might be considered "too many vegetables" or has seen similar from their own veggie intake. I appreciate the advice, but I'm not in a position to take it, and in most cases I won't! :)
