Hi, My question is, I am 20 (almo 21) year old male. I have always had a "high forehead" and after going through puberty I lost some side hair (norwood 2?)which made it look even higher. about two years ago in september/october I had started beeing a Vegetarian(until about febuary this year I would only eat fish or eggs). I was drinking soy milk for a couple of months (starting about sep oct 2010)then in feb 2011 I started having MASSIVE hair loss. I mean shedding everywhere. it was horrible. especially because I was always insecure that I was going bald because of my high forehead. I dropped vegetarianism (thank god) and my diet since has mainly consisted of Bacon(supposedly no soy, grain or corn fed), Eggs(free range), beef (try to buy organic)and venison/wildgame (my family hunts), I have noticed that since I started Paleo THIS febuary(2012) in the last two months my hair seems to have gotten thicker and grown back in thickness on the top of my head, but in two areas where I lost hair thickness from the soy milk raising my estrogens, the hair has not grown back very well, if I continue eating paleo will it grow back? I am terrified of having a high forehead forever! please help! serious answers only! thank you!

Female here, with (some) alopecia. I grew back some of my hair too, but not on all places on my head. I believe it's fixable if it's a hormones/diet problem, but almost impossible to fix if it's genetic. Here's a pic, and my regimen: http://eugenia.queru.com/2012/01/29/new-hair/

Omg thank you! wow it looks like your having success! good job! its definatly hormonal, My estrone was 85 and my estradil was 36.6 both the levels of a 14 year old young lady. I've been exersizing TONS(to lose estrogen producing stored fat) and that seems to have helped somewhat too. I'm glad someone is having success on their hairloss, I wouldn't wish it on someone I hated. thanks again and I wish you all the luck on your hairs health! – Benjamin Apr 14 2012 at 23:21
