if you maintain anaerobic workout intensity on a targeted ketogenic diet but do not use post workout carbs to replenish glycogen what is the purpose of working out since you wont be building or keeping glycogen full to build muscle and the calorie burn of weights is not so important at least not directly but rather indirectly through building muscle which your not doing.

In addition to what PrimalDanny said, eating after working out blunts the expression of growth hormone. Art DeVany covered this a long time ago. It probably makes sense for most of us to wait about an hour before eating post-workout. Besides, the whole workout culture focuses way too much on really small time periods- it takes quite a while for the body to build the new muscle. Dr. Doug McGuff has people working out only once a week.

Glycogen will still be replenished, albeit slowly. And you build muscle with protein. And a significant amount of any training is improving technique. And improving energy pathways and stuff like that. And you are repairing and building muscle. And the workout still triggers a positive hormonal environment. Pick one.
