are they typically washed before freezing? Will there still be pesticides on them?

I try to buy organic frozen stuff whenever possible, but I've never rinsed it unless it looked freezer burned. 99% of the time it goes straight from bag to pan. – Happy Now Apr 17 2012 at 6:52

Pesticides can't be removed completely by washing. Most fruits and veggies get sprayed since seed and continue to be sprayed till harvest and even afterwards,so conventional produce is laden with chemicals regardless of how many times you wash it.Go to EWG website to view the list of the worst offenders and if you can buy them organic.
