After listening to an www.undergroundwellness.com interview with Dr. Lustig about fructose and how terrible it is, Dr. Lustig made the point that it's ok to eat an orange (because it has fiber), but drinking orange juice is bad because the fiber has been removed.
If remove the orange peal and throw the remaining whole orange in my vitamix (super-high powered blender), it will pulverize it into a completely smooth juice (delicious!).
Question: Is it bad because it's liquid and will absorb quickly and negatively affect blood sugar and insulin,
or,
is it equivalent to eating a whole orange (with 100% of its fiber)?
Basically, is pulverized fiber the same as slightly chewed fiber?
Thanks for any comments or thoughts, Mike
