For the past year now I've had memory loss, to the point where I remember almost nothing about my past unless someone brings up the memory for me. I also have almost no short term memory and have a really hard time remembering things that happened just hours ago. It all started when my leaky gut syndrome got much worse last year. Since then I've had an out of control inflammatory response that is chronic and always feel very tired and stressed out.
I believe chronically elevated cortisol levels are to blame at least partially, but I'm wondering if there's more to it than that. Could it be a choline deficiency, and if so what's the best form of choline to take? I know eggs are high in it but I'm allergic to them.
My diet is at least decent, I don't have any junk food and try to eat lots of meat, veggies, fruit, and some rice and nuts.
Any suggestions on how to improve memory and clear up inflammation in the brain would be much appreciated.
