There are very interesting discussions going on on this site, with a healthy mix of different opinions. There are some paleo viewpoints, but in my opinion there should be more.

Has anyone here been a raw vegan at some point in their diet history? Were you ever under the sway of this kook Durianrider?

Not to mention the utter stupidity of actually downing 30 bananas a day, Durianrider is a shit of a person and arguing with these people is an epic waste of time.

The furthest I've come to a civilized discussion with these people is when I commented on a video he has about Nicki Violetti being obese that she is totally hot and got deleted. That was them being argumentative and polite.

Let them die of malnutrition and fructose poisoning while we keep being awesomely alive.

But I have to say, this site is actually a fun read.

Arguing with the 30bad True Believers would have about as much wisdom as walking into a mental institution and arguing with the patients. No 30bad True Believers post on the site. It's not for their benefit. – Ashley Apr 18 2012 at 22:49

A little bit off topic, but I recently got a stern talking to on Jimmy Moore's G+ page for, in no polite terms, telling Durianrider that he doesn't have a desirable body.

I didnt mince words and I got told I should be ashamed of myself.

This was hilarious. Seriously :) – Tom_S Apr 19 2012 at 1:15
Hehe! To DR's credit though- that was the most pleasant and friendly I've ever seen him. He must really like Jimmy. – Jules K Apr 19 2012 at 12:19

What if jimmy followed DR's advice and actually lost weight for once in his life. Would that blow everyones mind?? Obviously what he's currently doing isn't working, good on DR trying to help him. – cliff Apr 19 2012 at 13:34

Cliff, I hardly think that DR is trying to help. He is just talking an opportunity to gloat that he is not over weight and talk shit about his vegan diet. He actually doesn't offer any advise, he just told Jimmy what DR could do if he was Jimmy. I totally agree, Jimmy's diet isn't working, but this isn't because he doesn't eat carbs (I don't agree with low carb), it's because he consumes too much crap food and then drenches it if added fat. He needs to admit that his diet doesn't work and look at his calorie intake. – peter Apr 19 2012 at 21:01
I dunno about that. I don't think he would lose much weight even restricting what he already eats and if he does its not gonna be a very healthy way to lose it. I don't think Dr's advice would necessarily be the best but who knows. I could easily see jimmy losing a ton of weight and fixing a lot of his problems by eating as much fruit as he wanted. – cliff Apr 20 2012 at 13:59

I don't understand how that site, and that crazy man, expect to function fully and normally when they quash dissenting opinions and experiences. Can you imagine if we deleted every person who came on here wondering about weight gain, tooth problems, digestive issues with a "YOU DID IT WRONG, YOU ARE BAD, NO GOOD PALEO PERSON"? How do they expect the collective conversation to move forward and the movement to improve?

Wow, well said. – Meatymichael Apr 18 2012 at 23:55

Its because he is a made out of banana. He has no fuction brain cells due lack of fat, b12, zinc and normal food. – primallykosher Apr 19 2012 at 0:05

Durianrider is a joke. To mention his name falls into his desperate plan to get attention (and mindless followers). Let that tool keep eating those bananas and die one day soon. Until then, I do admit it's like a twisted science experiment, just can't help but watch, lol.

I predict he will create a fake id for here, and than troll this forum now. You summoned him.

DurianRiders impacted bowels are starting to throw off toxins into his blood stream making his brain shut down. It won't be long now.

What's most amusing to me is seeing Paradigm667 in the comments, claiming the scientific high ground while arguing against the universal idealness of veganism. It's funny because years ago, when Underground Wellness had a forum, he was on there, claiming the scientific high ground while arguing for a plant based diet, appealing to the authority of the China Study. He also said he wanted to inject himself with HIV just to prove that it doesn't cause AIDS.

Did he ever get arround to injecting himself with HIV? – Warren D Apr 19 2012 at 16:32
I have no idea. The UW forum was shut down suddenly, and I haven't seen him around since then. – Alex Apr 19 2012 at 16:51

Diets are like ex-lovers in this way. You can get really worked up and passionate about them, and feel like they're "the one," and then one day you finally admit to yourself the relationship isn't working for you anymore, and it's time to say bye bye. And then you wonder what you ever saw in the person. Mocking someone for once being passionate a different diet than they eat now, is like mocking them for their having once been all crazy about some loser. We all go thru phases and figure it out as we go along. No one is born knowing everything. – Ashley Apr 20 2012 at 2:11

Indeed, but mocking is fun. – Warren D Apr 20 2012 at 9:44
Ha! This is true, Warren. – Ashley Apr 20 2012 at 20:46
