Since birth i have had major digestive problems, when i was 7 i went 6 weeks without a bowel movement. From about the age of 10 through to 18 my bowel movement frequency was about once every 3-4 days. I've been eating real food (eggs, fish, meat, vegetables, tubers, fruit) for about 18 months now and my digestion has improved slightly (bowel movement every 2 days) but i feel it is less than optimal even though the stool is large, firm and light brown (sometimes its very loose though).
I occasionaly get intense bloating that seems to correlate with nut consumption (intolerance). i don't eat nuts anymore but i got really bad bloating last week that subsided after a bowel movement. In the days running up to this bloating, i upped my fiber intake.
Could this be dysbiosis, lack of fiber or is my digestion permanently impaired because of my problems from birth ?
