Hey all, I've been scanning the forums here for a few weeks and I'm looking for the healthiest dietary choices that can amount to a premium 3000-3500 calories daily intake. Exclude all pork and beef, from my understanding they are less than optimal health-wise. Grass-fed, organic and free-range choices for all other meats/animal products.

I've settled into a rut out of simple laziness and effectiveness that I am now looking for new ideas to change it up. To be honest, I will not cook a very complicated meal that takes more than 15-20 minutes tops. I simply do now have time and like to throw something together to eat while I study. What are the best high-protein, high-calorie foods I can find?

Paleo is just not fast food. Unless you want it all raw. That said, your crockpot and your freezer are your friends. I do a roast in the crockpot. 10 minutes prep, you can do it the night before and leave the crock in the frig. Put it in, (remember to) turn it on, go away. When you come home, your house smells like yummy food and you have dinner, no waiting. Then, you can put the leftovers in individual portion-sized plastic containers, and freeze it. Then you microwave when you wanna eat.

Can't imagine why you think beef and pork aren't healthy. Toss in crockport: Beef roast, some mushrooms, carrots, sweet potatoes, herbs, onions, garlic ~ yummmm.

Don't know where you are, but summer just started in my neighborhood, and salad is very easy to throw together, just add some flax seed oil for the calories. Any thing that appeals can go in the salad.

Pemmican Bars from Welness Meats! Yum. Call them and get samples to try. Aquired taste, but I amd my boyfriend love them. Fill you up for a long time. http://www.grasslandbeef.com/Detail.bok?no=1209 I ordered a couple samples of each kind. I personally only could eat half a bar at a time. Boyfriend eats one on his night shift and it holds him over really good. Not the cheapest, but same price as a Starbucks drink!
