I recently started making bone broth because my son was always constipated and would only go #2 every 3 or 4 days. The doctors said it was normal, but I don't think its normal when he is in tears every time he poops. Thanks to PH and the bone broth suggestion I have been able to get him more regular. I make a "paleo" jello for him and my 1 year old, with pureed berries, bone broth, prunes and dates all blended together. They love it. I recently made the bone broth with chicken feet and had a lot of success and it made so much I didnt' know what to do with it all.
I know you can freeze it, but is it possible to dehydrate it to make a powder like they sell in the store of just plane bone broth?
I am also thinking of making "healthy" fruit snacks for the kids with fresh strawberries from the farmers market and bone broth pureed together. Is this possible, and safe?
What is the shelf life of something like this? Would I need to still refrigerate it? Should I wait until it turns to jello before I dehydrate it?
Any tips or suggestions would be great!!
Thanks
