I developed a skin rash on my throat following fairly strict paleo. Anyone there with similar issue? I have recently increased rice and potatoes consumption as per PHD with no improvement. Share how you got rid of it and how long it took.

It was clearly linked to increased cholesterol. As I managed to reduce my total cholesterol from 7.8 to 6.4 the fungal rash is gone – matthew Jul 31 at 14:43

Tea Tree Oil soap worked like magic for me. Completely cleared-up in about 6 days.

What the heck is going on here?! Are y'all wearing clothes made in China without washing first?

I've always been a touch susceptible to fungal infections, but have to say eating paleo I've had none since. I've always relied on OTC anti-fungals, which work fine if you get the right one for the strain you have. PHD recommends increasing carbohydrate load for fungal infections? I've always heard the opposite recommendation, cutting sugar.

And how are you certain this rash is fungal anyway?

What does PHD mean? – CaveMan_Mike May 20 2012 at 11:46
Perfect Health Diet, book/website many folks are quite enamored with (not sure I get it though). – Matt May 20 2012 at 11:48
Sugar and Carbohydrates are not necessarily the same thing. – Aussiebloke Sep 4 at 21:40
