Here's a quick one: cooking with spices, ingredients list 'rice flour' as an indgredient... GO!

Yeah, it doesn't seem like a huge issue. If it had been traces of wheat or gluten, then I would say don't bother. But so far that I know of, traces of rice have never hurt anyone. I still eat small amounts of rice occasionally and it doesn't impact my health. But wheat and gluten however impacts me very negatively.

So I'd say go for it...

But if you're still concerned try buying individual spices and making your own spice mixes. It can be fun to experiment with what tastes you like. :)

Don't sweat it. A few milligrams of ground rice won't kill you.

Do you eat rice? If so then shouldn't be a concern.

What spice mix are you using? Can you make it yourself? You should be able to find the spice mix recipe online, then you can make it yourself. This is what I do for curry powder, garam masala, etc. Tastes way better to roast and grind your own mix.

well i eat white rice a few time/week as it's just starch, i'm just wondering if the rice flour is from brown rice and has the bran and such. yeah i've tried doing it myself with the ingrdeints list: just gets tedious after a while and can't seem to get the right ratios... – Ty Fyter Apr 29 2012 at 9:39
you can get brown or white rice flour. Not sure what would be in your mix though. – peter May 1 2012 at 10:51
