I take a 4000iu capsule of Vitamin-d every morning with 32-oz of carrot juice and 2 Green Pastures Cod Liver oil capsules (shooting for 40000 iu of Vitamin-A). I also throw a Vitamin-K2 capsule for good measure!

But while I've read a 10x ratio in favor of Vitamin-A is fine, it doesn't seem to be universally agreed, so I'm wondering if I'm doing more harm than good. ( http://www.tanplusforhealth.com/news/december/cod_liver.htm )

I'd love to hear people thoughts on this!

Ben: You are not likely to do any harm by taking a truly natural dietary "supplement" such as a non-concentrated cod liver oil. It is when you venture into taking "therapeutic" doses of isolated/synthetic vitamins (lacking the normally-accompanying co-factors and enzymes, etc) that you run the increased risk of creating imbalances and deficiencies.

Here is a link to a very well-reasoned .pdf article with references. Note: It is from a vendor of Cod Liver oil also, so he promotes his product, but his reasoning is very sound re. Vite D.
