Hey guys, First things first I know this isn't a paleo question but I come to this site 20 times a day and the pop up asking me for sign up keeps appearing even though I've already signed up. Is there anything I can do to stop it Thanks heaps

Are you logged in? You must have cookies enabled on your browser or else you will be signed out everytime you leave the site. Not very paleo, I know, but that's how it works.

Thanks heaps for that, I'll keep myself logged in as I'll be coming here very often as I'm only onto day 2 of a paleo lifestyle change – Julia May 9 2012 at 13:18

Actually, it happens regardless of being signed in. It is annoying, but I've learned to ignore it, since I haven't been able to fix it either. – Ambimorph May 9 2012 at 14:45
Yep, I'm signed in and it pops up every time. – PaleoDel May 9 2012 at 18:19
It doesn't for me, and I don't get ads. My latest FF is locked tight, though: Ad Block Plus, Ghostery and NoScript. – Wisper May 14 2012 at 8:53

Firefox with noscript and adblock.

I have Firefox with noscript and adblock, and I still get it. Did you do something else, too? – Ambimorph May 12 2012 at 6:55
I have Better Privacy, not sure if that would matter. The others are weather, no squint, and nothing pop up related. Might be an adblock setting. I'm running adblock plus as well. – Rob May 12 2012 at 17:27
I have Ghostery, perhaps that's what does the trick? – Wisper May 14 2012 at 8:53

I can't convince my mobile facebook app to keep me signed in, and every time I make the mistake of clicking on an interesting looking paleohacks link, I'm reminded of how poor a decision I just made, because dismissing that popup is such a pain on my phone.

I'm slowly being driven mad with the pop-up.

I used to really enjoy reading the site on my phone from Twitter links. I use Tweetbot and have no way to 'sign in' or stay 'signed in'.

I'm sure using media queries the pop-up could be disabled for mobile devices.

Please please can somebody on the tech team fix this?

Thanks a million

It doesn't matter if you're logged in. I'm logged in and get it every time. – PaleoDel May 9 2012 at 18:20
At least I know I'm not the only one having this issue :) – Julia May 9 2012 at 23:54

Bump. This is driving me mad on my laptop, but I don't see it on my desktop (both Macs, running Safari, cookies on except for 3rd-party). Also happens on iOS devices.

I have managed to block it by preventing scripts from "googleapis.com," but this interferes with the functioning of the forum. At least I finally realized that you can click anywhere on the screen to close it...
