Hey everyone. I'm loving green smoothies right now. Currently I've been making mine with a few ripe bananas, wild blueberry's, and tons of spinach and kale. Could you all give me a few good green smoothies. Particularly fatty ones, maybe with some raw eggs? Or coconut milk/oil? Thanks.

Here's a good one if you're OK with some greek yogurt. http://iowagirleats.com/2012/01/04/my-top-secret-diet-weapon/

Really though, you probably should just experiment - I like putting almond butter in smoothies. Coconut oil doesn't blend with cold ingredients well, coconut milk is much better. Mangoes are great for smoothies.

I cook 6oz of spinach in 1oz of coconut oil. Then add the result (spinach & oil) to one can of coconut milk.

Then, add 1/2 cantaloupe (about 12oz), and 2 bananas.

Add 2 or 3 cups of ice (depending on if the spinach was still hot).

I blend in my vitamix and YUMM!!!

It makes 3 servings.

The total (of all 3 servings) is: 1124 calories 75g fat 110g carbs (67g sugars). 23g protein 51% potassium 36% magnesium 23% calcium

SOOO YUMMY

I haven't made one in awhile but I like a couple handfuls of spinach, water & meat of 1 coconut, half banana and a few chunks of pineapple.

Cool, hope you like it! It is really good- I'm not big into tropical fruits, but this one is really good for summer. – Jules K May 10 2012 at 12:00

If you're wanting to add more fat - add an avocado (to anything) makes it nice and nutty and creamy
