What is in chocolate that makes it so addictive? I can't imagine living without it. I'm talking dark and 'raw' chocolate bars with very little sugar.

"Researchers believe phenylethylamine causes the brain to release mesolimbic dopamine in the pleasure centers of the brain, which peaks during an orgasm. This may be why women report to prefer chocolate to sex"

This is my guess (and it is only the guess, because I do not know for sure).

My chocolate cravings have completely stopped after taking herbs. It means that my liver was craving it - it was lacking some stimuli. I probably had some kind of nutritional imbalance in my body and it was not functioning right, so it was craving things that would help to stimulate it.

I don't even look at chocolate anymore and I was a chocoholic!!! How can this be?

My husband is a chocolate fiend and it peaks when my period is about to begin. I don't crave chocolate, he does! I'm hoping that will go away or at least calm down once his diet is straightened out. – MathGirl72 May 9 2012 at 22:13
I'm so sorry that your chocolate cravings went away, life must feel so empty... ;) – AG May 10 2012 at 1:33
I don't have any more cravings... No, actually I do - I like to dance. Thanks for your comment. – VB May 10 2012 at 4:36
