I'm new to Paleo but not new to low-carb. I haven't been perfect during my first week on it, and have been eating a lot of fruit which is new to me because on Atkins, the only fruit you could really eat were berries and apples. I'm up 3 lbs. Not much I know but it scares me, I thought I'd be down at least in water weight. Is this normal? Should I scale back on fruit? Here's my day yesterday:
Breakfast: Leftover Chicken, Spinach and Mushrooms from last nights dinner
Lunch: Mixed Green Salad with grilled chicken from Chikfila (had a tiny bit of cheese on it) low-fat italian dressing
Snacks: 1 orange, 1 cup blackberries, handful blueberries, a few almonds & walnuts, coffee with a little cream
Dinner: Meatloaf (Paleo) and tossed salad with dressing of lemon juice, olive oil and spices, 1 glass red wine
I know this is not perfectly Paleo but it is really low-carb and almost Paleo. Thoughts? Too much fat, too many fruits, too many calories? What am I doing wrong?
