I've seen some of the things folk do with egg shells, some throw them away, some eat them like crackers, or grind them up and mix with lemon juice or crush them up and put them in coffee. Has anyone tried putting them in with some bone broth. If you're looking for calcium and minerals and such it seems that treating them like bones, in a crockpot with some vinegar, would be the way to go. Anybody tried this, or shall I let you all know in a day or 2?
I add egg shells from a week's worth of eggs to my broth every time I make it. I also add shrimp shells whenever I have them. Both increase the glucosamine and chondroitin amounts in the broth.
