I'm always busy and sometimes I don't get a chance (or make one) to prepare breakfast/lunch for the next day, resulting in a morning/afternoon gone without much food. Of course, once dinner rolls around 7-9p, I'm practically eating a cow. Even still, I keep within my weight loss restrictions (paleo standards/caloric intake), but because we need food for FUEL, am I eating too late in the day to make much of the difference besides feeding myself?

That made sense, right?

I think it works differently for everyone, but I don't like to eat so late in the day either. I think if you must eat something before going to bed, make sure it's protein and/or non starchy vegetables and make it a small meal.

Having said that I work anywhere from 50-75 hours in a week, and have no problem making my food for work the day prior.

Always make extra food for leftovers, and get some nice food storage containers (I like lock & lock bento boxes, nice and square/rectangular and stack on top of each other very neatly!). When I buy salad parts, I always try to cut them up and put into storage containers in the frige for two reasons -- makes them last longer and makes it a snap to put together, say, a nice salad.

Many of us do this on purpose as a form of intermittent fasting. I go without food until 5PM and eat to the point of satiety within 1-2 hours and fast for the next 24 hours. We don't need food for fuel... We can run on stored fat for fuel. So basically you are burning fat all day, which is a good thing. The actual time of food consumption probably doesn't make much difference. The quality and frequency of food consumption does, I think.

Unless you're also ridiculously hungry during the day when you're skipping meals you think you should be eating, I don't think there's a problem. It's not like you wipe the energy slate clean when you sleep, or you would always need activity after any last meal, no matter what time you eat it in order to equalize the intake. So no, I don't think it made sense.

Not an issue. As long as you end up getting in the calories/nutrients in for the day, and you are not stressing yourself out don't see a problem.
