I have been Paleo for six months with the first three including some dairy (cheese in my omelet) and heavy whipping cream in my coffee but zero grain, sugar, seed oils etc. The past three months, I have essentially eliminated the cheese and have minimal nuts (every few weeks), no fruits (dried or otherwise) and yams once a week. Essentially, my diet consists of two eggs(cage free) scrambled with grassfed butter, coffee with heavy cream in the morning, no lunch in the month of March (not hungry) and good quality meats (grassfed or lean turkey, chicken and duck) along with vegetable (what ever looks good). Occasional dips into the coconut oil, possible some coconut milk or flakes as the mood hits. There is lots of variety to keep the palate guessing on the dinner menu.
My goal is to lean out. I started at 240, 6' 1" and after six months I am down to 218. I went from Jan to end of Feb at about 220 and finally after eliminating lunch am starting to drop slowly.

I am taking good supplements Omega 3 (4000mg) Magnesium (800mg Zinc Vitamin C (every third day) Vitamin K2 Vitamin D3 (7500mg) NAC ALA
Walking 4X per week, doing interval sprints on bike and lifting some heavy stuff.
Any thoughts on how I can do better on the weight loss or is this to be expected. My thought was I was kind of low on the caloric intake. Thanks
my first thought is yes, you are eating too little. do you eat back the calories you burn through exercise for a "net" intake of 1400? or do you eat 1400 calories period?
how do you feel? are you tired? do you feel weak? lightheaded? can you focus?
maybe the reason you hit a plateau is your body was trying to hold on to it's energy sources because you aren't providing it with enough fuel from food. i mean hey - you're body is going to do things to protect itself whether you want it to or not...and unfortunately body fat is perfect fuel for a hungry body.
remember - paleolithic people went through periods of famine AND feast. all you have been doing is the famine part. why not try an all out feast sporadically? have you not had the urge to?
I would say you are most definitely eating too little. The BMR (calories expended while sedentary) for (I'm assuming here) males is 1900-2000 calories per day. The bare minimum for males is 1500. If 1400 is your net calorie consumption, you might be okay, but I would recommend eating more, especially given your exercise level. I found that when I upped my calorie intake, I felt better and improved my body composition.
I'm 6'1" and 200lb at around 10% bf, so you're approaching the "final X pounds" that are notoriously hard to lose. At this point, it's a marathon, not a sprint, so as long as you're eating well and working out, be patient and you'll see results.
