Hi everyone, i would like to lose some fat of my butt and legs, i started to eat paleo last week and was wondering if i have to include sprints in my exercise routine to lose some excess weight.I am not lazy, the problem is, that I need to prepare myself for final exams as a pilates instructor and it will be a lot of hard work. I have to work out at least half and hour every day. I have suppressed immunity system and if I go over my personal limits, I have sore throat immediately, feel fatigued and sick in generall. Sorry for my not-perfect english and thanks very much for your answer!:) I'm female 5'8 tall and 132 lbs, not fat, just a few pounds on my butt and thigts.

Sprinting will increase your cardiovascular fitness and endurance, improve your insulin sensitivity, and might contribute very slightly to leaning out, but weight loss is going to be determined mainly by your diet. You can easily lose weight without sprints, but as long as you don't overexert yourself doing them, they're only going to benefit you. |

I agree with Matthius. I think if anything, adding more walking would be the best way to lose fat more quickly. Of course the fat loss won't necessarily be targeted on butt and thighs. Your body will shed the fat wherever it wants to and likely the places you want to target will be the last to go. So, just stick with the diet/walking and eventually you should get the results you want. |

You can lose weight without doing any physical exercise at all. But should you? No. |
