hello again,

i am interested in finding out if i have any food sensitivities - i highly suspect wheat and dairy. i have eliminated them from my diet, and then reintroduced them. but i'm not sure if i am over analyzing the return of symptoms such as headache/tiredness etc

i have found this test where you measure your heartrate, what are your thoughts on this test? http://www.soilandhealth.org/02/0201hyglibcat/020108.coca.pdf

my heartrate on awakening is 47, the other day i had dairy and wheat and it rose to 60. i feel that it will need time and detective work but that it could be a useful tool alongside a paleo diet.

what are your thoughts - is this a reliable method? thanks

+1 Wow, this is interesting. I've been monitoring HR during some time first thing in the morning to track my fitness, but found it pretty inconsistent because some days it would vary a lot and I observed that it depended mostly on if I ate a lot of carbs the day before, some alcohol or overall too much calories. Never thought it may have something to do with food sensitivities! Will have a look at it. Would be nice if someone could throw some more data regarding if it does truly work or has something to do with how hard is food to digest, since the metabolism shall rise for digestion. – Albert83BCN Apr 9 at 11:48

Yes, I believe in the Coca Pulse Test. I am a nutritional therapy practitioner (NTP) and I think this test is valid to help determine food sensitivities/allergies.

Is there any more in-depth literature about analyzing your results once you record them? I'm curious about other effects, like exercise and eating things you aren't allergic to. – SlimIcy Feb 14 at 21:10
