This might sound like a really stupid question, but I found myself struggling trying to distinguish "Tired eyes" vs. "yawning tired" vs. "simply tired", and how the 3 might relate to paldo (if at all).
What I mean by that is: let's say you got plenty of sleep, in a dark room: you probably are not "simply tired".
However, if you you are yawning, that might be an indication of overall lack of sleep, although I've always heard yawning described as your brain craving more oxygen.
However, if you eyes are fatigued, or irritated due to seasonal allergies, you might want to close them, but I guess that's not related to your overall level of rest and sleep.
However, if you "get tired" after a meal, then maybe that's more related to insulin and blood sugar control, rather that getting enough sleep. If that's the case, don't fuss with blacking out the alarm clock to achieve 100% dark, but rather look at macro-nutrient ratios, perhaps.
So, I suppose a bit of self awareness is important to hack "tired", to make sure the right type of tired is defined up front.
Having written this out, I'm not exactly sure what I'm asking, but folks here usually have some very interesting commentary so take it where you will.
Thoughts?
Mike
