6 weeks pregnant w/ meat aversion. Trying to take in fat and keep insulin response low, as hypoglycemia strengthens nausea. I'm at the point where I'd just love to down an easy smoothie/drink w/ lovely macronutrient ratios because trying to chew/swallow food is a bear. My nausea has been mild-moderate but near constant for the past week and gets progressively more awful when I'm hungry. Which makes is hard to force myself to eat.
I'd like to come up with something I can blend up and drink that's perhaps 50 fat/25 protein/25 carb, maybe 60/20/20?
Any other tips for getting in animal fat without having to chew flesh are welcome.
Aside: why do the following things sound palatable? Wendy's chili, pizza, baloney sandwiches on white bread with mayonnaise? This happened the last time I was pregnant - my "health food" diet of quinoa, beans, etc. gave way to fast food in a way I never expected. I'm determined not to go that route this time.
