Ok so for Beef I would recommend Deep Roots Meat. They are extremely reasonable. Half a cow last time I bought was $2 lb hang weight + processing fee. The only way to get good quality pastured meat is to buy in bulk. You can always go in with other people to buy.
For Chicken I like clear lake farm good quality well taken care off $3 a LB and she comes to tally every Sunday morning for pickups.
Raw milk....this is the thing...if you like goat milk, there is a lady named Trisha look on www.RealMilk.com wonderful milk and only $5 a gallon. If you prefer cow's milk you have to buy at new leaf for $9. Trisha also sells pastured eggs for $2 a dozen but it is sort of hit or miss if she will have them because she provides eggs for all her kids and grandkids:)
I would do a CSA membership for veggies or just hit a farmers market. I do a lot of canning and freezing but I also have 4 people to feed.
Sorry this was a huge list but I know how hard it is to get started in a new city. Also, New Leaf has a farm tour every October and it is wonderful way to go see farms and try out what the have to offer.
