What are the best eggs to buy?
I know pastures and bug fed are ideal according to PaleoApproved. This raises the omega 3 ratio. Can't find bug fed eggs in NYC.
But flaxseed fed pastured also have high omega 3.
Discuss.

The omega-3 in commercial flax-fed eggs usually has alpha linoleic acid (ALA) which isn't well used by humans -- conversion to usable omega 3 is low. Obviously pastured eggs are the best. When I can't get them I go for free range, and up my green/orange vegetable/butter intake to make up for it. I find it hard to believe that in NYC of all places you can't find pasteured eggs. Try localharvest.org to find a famrer's market, vendor, etc where you can buy them -- it's worth the extra $$. |

Legit pastured free ranging hens will eat LOTS of bugs and worms and little snakes and even rodents - no worries! |
