I have 7 days left to go on my 45 day paleo challenge sponsored by my cross fit gym . Basically for the 45 days you have to be by-the-book strict paleo, which I’ve tried my hardest to adhere to. Being new to paleo though I had to learn a lot as I went, but I feel like I’ve done a pretty great job and I’ve definitely had some fantastic results. But I would love to be the winner of this challenge and shed maybe a few more lingering pounds this last week, I feel like ive stalled the last couple weeks so maybe my body needs to be shocked? Does anyone have any tips for how to get as lean as possible in one week? I’m 28, 5’5 and about 133lbs.

Decapitation is a good way of getting rid of several pounds of ugly flesh. Or you could do what they do on the "Biggest Loser" and dehydrate yourself until you piss blood... |

Don't know what your carb intake is like but apparently some people break a plateau when they add in a little bit more carbohydrate to a VLC diet...you could also try IF like Suz says if you aren't already. |

I'm not sure of the conditions of the challenge but you could try this and use entirely Paleo foods: You could try a protein sparing modified fast (PSMF) just to finish out the challenge. You basically eat ~1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of lean body mass (estimate based on body fat%) and non-starchy veggies... that is it. Protein should be as lean as you can get to minimize added fat. This is so you are consuming as few calories as possible for weight loss and not because fat is bad or anything. Be sure to get plenty of sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium as well as water during this period. If you want the science behind it checkout Lyle McDonald's books. This is for short term dieting only, especially if you are doing crossfit regularly. Your performance will absolutely suffer due to lack of calories but you should get some fairly quick weight loss due to the very low calorie input. |
