I'm kinda bored right now and hungry as I looked through our fridge and realize nothing is really calling my name. I am tired of eating greens and meat for breakfast and dinner. I have plenty of ingredients in the fridge what do you guys suggest I cook up? What's your fav breakfast meal? Ps- Im watching the nuts right now.
Try chocolate pudding. To make it:
4 raw egg yolks in a bowl, mix well. Add glob of macademia nut butter. Mix. Add few tbsp of 100% cocoa powder. Mix.
Sometimes I eat it at that stage. Most people would require that some kind of sweetener (coconut sugar? honey?) be added, unless they are already dark chocolate addicts.
I sometimes add half a cup of blueberries, or other berries. Or a bit of shredded coconut, or... well, whatever. If I want the pudding to be more runny and less stiff, I'll add a bit of coconut oil. There are all kinds of ways to vary this. Just start with egg yolks, add cocoa, and whatever other ingredients you want.
It's very filling and feels like a huge treat to me. :-)
I'm sure you could replace the macademia nut butter with something else. Coconut butter, maybe? I sometimes add that. So good!
MM.. sometimes I think it's just looking at the same components in a different way. Eggs, mushrooms, kale. You can: Scramble. Make an omelet. Keep separate on the plate. Treat as a salad with a few other tasty bits. Example: I made this last week, kind of a play on eggs benedict using the above ingredients.
Typically I have two large meals a day and maybe I'm really jamming on steak and will make a couple different things: steak hash, sear it and have with roasted veggies, make a big breakfast salad with fresh spinach, avocado, tomato, egg, et al. Do you like chicken sausages? There are some great organic ones with minimal ingredients - split the casing and make a sausage patty and top with a poached egg and some roasted sweet potato. Also - baked eggs also known as Eggs in Purgatory rules.
avocados are simply and a mainstay for me. Make a nice rich tomato sauce and poach a few eggs in it, dish out and enjoy. I usuall skip breakfast and eat about four or five hours after getting up but the options are the same. Most countries do not eat the eggs and bacon rountine- Id google countries like Greece, Turkey, Spain and Poland and see what they do. The tomato sauce with eggs is very isreal, turkish. Good luck

I seem to do better with high-fat in the morning. I'd like to figure out how to easily make the quiche crustless or at least with a healthier crust. I usually eat a 1/5 slice.
Other favorites include Turkey & Avocado Omelettes with Salsa, diced grilled chicken, or meatballs.
right now i'm eating sauteed leeks, collards, and swiss chard with two eggs scrambled in - topped with dulse and a side of sauerkraut. cooked in coconut oil, of course!
i agree that the meat and greens thing gets old but, for me, the dulse and sauerkraut, which is a recent addition to breakfast, gives it a nice kick. kinda my new thing...toppings/sides/flavors added to the basics.
