I've gotten a little tired of the same old beef stews I've been making so I've decided to take the plunge and get some goat from the local halal store. Does anyone have a great goat stew recipe? I've googled it and seen plenty out there. Which one do you like best?

The only way to eat goat is "Curry Goat", which is a Caribbean staple. It's not a curry like an Indian Curry (although the dish originated in India) but more like a spicy goat stew. i made this the other day and used goat instead of the lamb that it calls for and it was extremely good. You just have to cook it for longer as goat is tougher. |

Any Indian style lamb curry can be adapted for goat. Goat curry with Indian spices is delicious! Slow cooker or pressure cook. Marinate with turmeric, salt and lemon ideally for 4 hours at least (24-48 hours even better)! Google and you will get some results. Have fun! |
